This year marks the 50 year anniversary for Life Unlimited, Inc. and we are stronger than ever! Life Unlimited was created when multiple long-term organizations, that provided exceptional services to people with developmental disabilities, decided to join forces knowing that they would be stronger if they worked together. In 2016, Concerned Care and Immacolata Manor joined to form the Clay and Platte County division. In 2018, Open Options joined to start the Jackson County division.
Our mission is to support people with developmental disabilities as they experience life with unlimited possibilities.
Our Career Opportunities
Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) are provided extensive training upon hire and throughout employment. Life Unlimited believes the role of the DSP is a desired career path for those who want to make a difference in the lives of others. For this reason, all DSPs within the organization are able to gain the NADSP (National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals) certification. There are many options and opportunities for growth specifically within the Community Living Program to include Team Supervisors and Program Managers.
Life Unlimited provides a vast array of services for those we support to include the following programs; Community Living, Community Support Options, Employment Services, Day Services and Recreation. There are opportunities for employment throughout the organization within the programs already listed and also periodically for the Nursing/Health department, ABA Services, Human Resources, Training, Finance, IT, Quality/Compliance, External Relations and Maintenance.

We never completely closed during the pandemic, we adjusted! Our employees kept their jobs and we worked together across departments to ensure our individuals were supported. While we work hard, we also like to have fun with birthday parades, trivia games and coming together for meals and celebrations. During the pandemic we’ve had to get creative and often had celebrations and played games virtually.
